Our practice is a training and teaching practice. Our registrars are fully qualified and have a great deal of hospital experience. They are attached to our practice for 4 to 12 months and they are at all times encouraged to seek advice when required from the practice partners.
We are also fortunate to have medical students attached to our practice for short periods. If you do not wish to have the student present during your consultation please inform the reception staff prior to seeing the doctor.
When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would consult with one of our registrars who are excellent doctors, appointed by the practice.
The practice also has doctors on the “returner scheme”. These are doctors who have previously worked in the NHS but have recently had a career break.
Mrs Brown, as the practice manager, manages and co-ordinates the day-to-day running of the practice along with planning for the future. She is also the first point of contact for patients with comments or complaints.
The administration team are responsible for ensuring that all letters and reports are prepared within the set time limits and that any referrals are sent to the correct destination. They are also responsible for dealing with all insurance reports and arranging medicals.
The district nursing team is based in Shrewsbury. The team looks after patients from a large rural area which includes Bayston Hill, Pontesbury, Westbury and Worthen.
Brian delivers medication for patients signed up to our medication home delivery service. For more information on this service please speak to one of our dispensers.
Amy is part of our housekeeping team.
