Here at Pontesbury Medical Practice we are proud to have a patient group who provide us with an insight to the views, thoughts and ideas of our patients.
The group is called Pontesbury Medical Practice Patient Participation Group and has been established for over ten years. During this time they have supported the practice in a number of ways such as hosting Patient Educational Health Evenings, supporting the practice to run the seasonal flu clinics and raising money to buy equipment for the benefit and comfort of our patients. Most recent purchases include televisions for our two waiting rooms, a blood pressure monitor for use by patients in the waiting room and another twenty four hour blood pressure monitor. Also their sale of second hand books helps to finance the provision of cold water drinks for our patients.
Our group tries to meet at least quarterly and currently has twelve members. The group is a mix of men and women ranging in age from 45 to 85.
To try to obtain wider views the practice currently has a suggestion box situated in the practice waiting room and the group are happy to listen to the views of others. The group would like to hear more from young families but we appreciate it is not always possible with busy lives to attend meetings. If you would like to be more involved but would find attending meetings difficult please contact Heather Brown on 01743 790325 and we will discuss how your views can be represented regularly in a way that is convenient to you.
If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.
